Graduate students and faculty from MEZCOPH gathered in Atlanta, Georgia for the 2025 Joint Annual Meeting of the International Society of Exposure Science (ISES) and the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE), August 17— 20.  The theme of this year’s conference,“Global Environmental Health Equity across the Lifespan,” covered diverse, timely, and practical topics in the field of Public Health.

Four full days were packed with symposia, poster presentations, and networking opportunities allowing MEZCOPH students and faculty to engage in discussions with researchers from across the globe and exchange research ideas and findings. Attendees shared their work and expertise through oral and poster presentations, receiving feedback from peers and other experts in the field.

Individuals from MEZCOPH presenting their research included Yifan Chao, Reagan Conner, Tina Fingesi-Johnson, James Hollister, Dr. Ramirez-Andreotta, Audrey Yang, and Jeonggyo Yoon. MEZCOPH SCORCH faculty Dr. Melissa Furlong, Dr. Chris Lim, and Dr. Rietta Wagoner and SCORCH graduate students Imran Mithu and Rebecca Ramos presented their work on topics ranging from community engagement, PFAS levels in firefighters, extreme heat exposure and other risks during pregnancy, and clean air equity. In total, there were 47 conference symposia or poster presentations featuring MEZCOPH authors.
