Application deadline: May 5, 2025, 11:59PM AZ
The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management (DFFM) Urban and Community Forestry Program announced a new funding opportunity through the 2023 Inflation Reduction Act. Eligible applicants include local government, academic institutions, Native American tribes, non-profits organizations, schools/school districts, and state government. Activities supporting those most vulnerable by increasing tree canopy, long-term tree survival and stewardship, and career opportunities in the face of decreasing water availability, rising temperatures, and fast-paced urban development for residents will be prioritized.
Organizations with existing IRA funding may apply, but NOT for the same project. Grant awards will be $50,000 - $150,000 per project. Match is not required for this funding opportunity. Project work must be completed by December 31, 2026. Any questions should be directed to Madeline Burton, UCF Program Manager at mburton@dffm.az.gov or (480) 769-4184.
