The University of Arizona's Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Heatlh Southwest Center on Resilience for Climate Change & Health and Southwest Environmental Health Sciences Center (SWEHSC) are co-sponsoring a Science Café with the City of Tucson, its Tucson Resilient Together initiative, and La Isla Network.

Sponsors anticipate this to be a highly impactful community event during which the powerful documentary film "Too Hot to Work" will be screened. A panel session willl follow, bringing together local and national experts to discuss the impact of extreme heat on farmworkers and examine strategies for abating heat risk among those who labor outdoors. Café participants will explore how a warmer climate is transforming the way individuals work and acknowledge the heightened and urgent need for collaboration among workers, businesses, community organizations, and the government sector in mitigating heat-related health risks.
