When

Noon – 1 p.m., Aug. 28, 2026

Please join our August 28, 2026 webinar to hear key takeaways from the rural heat conversations held across Arizona and to join a broader discussion about what comes next.

Throughout late summer and fall 2025, SCORCH in collaboration with Arizona Department of Health Services, Center for Rural Health, and community partners held five rural heat conversations with partners and participants from across the state. Throughout these conversations, participants discussed how extreme heat is affecting rural and tribal communities statewide, shaping daily life, and mandating coordinated action and collaboration.

The webinar will highlight:

  • Current challenges in addressing extreme heat in rural communities.
  • Strategies and solutions already being implemented across Arizona.
  • The importance of rural voices in statewide heat efforts.
  • Opportunities for collaboration across regions.

Please come ready to share, reflect, and discuss with others. Note that registration closes on Wednesday, August 26th.

We hope you will join us for this important discussion about extreme heat in Arizona and how we can work together to strengthen rural and tribal community resilience.
